Dundee FC 2024/2025 Away Shirt

DUNDEE FC - AWAY SHIRT 2024/2025

Dundee Football Club were founded in 1893 and are one of the grand old names of the Scottish game, based in the city of Dundee on the country's east coast. Known to their supporters as the Dark Blues, or simply the Dee, they play their home matches at Dens Park, a ground with a curious claim to fame: it sits barely 200 yards from Tannadice Park, home of rivals Dundee United, making the pair the two closest senior football grounds anywhere in Britain.

The 2024/2025 campaign, during which this smart away shirt was worn, was a season of hard graft in the Scottish Premiership under manager Tony Docherty. Dundee finished 10th, doing just enough to secure their top flight status, though the drama did not end there. In a sudden and surprising twist, Docherty and his entire backroom staff were relieved of their duties the day after survival was confirmed.

There was plenty to enjoy in the cups. Dundee swept through their League Cup group as one of the best placed winners, racking up a 6-0 win along the way, before a 6-1 thrashing in the second round carried them into the quarter-finals. In the Scottish Cup they went a round further, winning 4-0 in the fifth round to reach the quarter-finals in March.

The season belonged to Simon Murray. The striker top scored with 22 goals in all competitions, 16 of them in the league, and his form earned him the Premiership Player of the Month award for April 2025. He was also shortlisted for both the PFA Scotland Players' Player of the Year and the SFWA Footballer of the Year, a fitting reward for the man who almost single-handedly kept the Dark Blues up.
