CROSSING SCHAERBEEK - GOALKEEPER SHIRT 2025/2026
Crossing Schaerbeek are a Belgian club from Schaerbeek, one of the nineteen municipalities that make up Brussels. Their roots go back to 1945, when they joined the Belgian FA as Union Sportive Albert Schaerbeek and were handed matricule number 4070. The club as we know it took shape in 2012 through a merger with local side RFC Evere, and the name is a nod to Royal Crossing Club de Schaerbeek, a former top-flight team from the same neighbourhood. Today they play at the Crossing Stadium, tucked beside the leafy Josaphat Park, in the club's traditional green and white.
The 2025/2026 season, during which this eye-catching goalkeeper shirt was worn, was a landmark one: the club's first ever at the third tier of Belgian football, the highest non-professional level in the country. They arrived on the back of a remarkable climb, promoted via the play-offs in 2024 and then crowned Division 2 ACFF champions in 2025, finishing top of eighteen teams. Under manager Dave De Herdt, though, the higher level proved a step too far. Crossing finished 11th of twelve in the ACFF regular-season group with sixteen points from four wins, before a relegation play-off group sent them straight back down after a single season.
It was a campaign of graft rather than glory, and one that asked plenty of the goalkeeper. Home wins were rare, the standout a 2-1 victory over Meux, while heavier days included a 5-0 home defeat to Rochefort. The relegation mini-league brought a little late fight, with wins over Stockay and Union Namur, but the drop could not be avoided.
Crossing conceded forty-four goals across the regular season, so their keeper was a busy man in a side battling near the foot of the table. At the other end, experienced striker Esteban Casagolda led the scoring with four league goals, with Gael Kakudji and Mamadou Gueye also contributing. Even so, Crossing bowed out of the third tier with heads held high after a fairytale rise.
