BANGKOK FC - AWAY SHIRT 2025/2026
Bangkok Football Club, known across the capital as the Fire Bulls (กระทิงเพลิง, or Krathing Phloeng), were founded in 1999 as Bangkok Bravo A.F.C. and play their home football at the Chalerm Phrakiat Bang Mod Stadium, also called the 72nd Anniversary Stadium, in the Thung Khru district of Bangkok, a tidy 8,000-capacity ground. Here is the trivia every rival loves: chasing headlines, founder Nataphol Teepsuwan once registered the side under Bangkok's full ceremonial name, the longest place name on earth.
The 2025/2026 season, during which this bold away shirt was worn, found Bangkok settled back in Thai League 2, the Thai second tier, having stormed out of Thai League 3 as national champions in 2023/2024. Steered by head coach Kissakorn Krasaingoen, the architect of that promotion, the Fire Bulls arrived off the back of a composed eighth-placed finish in 2024/2025, their first campaign back at this level. Unfortunately, their steady progress was halted in 2025/2026, where they finished bottom of the 18-team league.
Bangkok's story is one of patient rebuilding. They first climbed out of the regional game by winning the 2010 Division 2 Bangkok title, enjoyed a spell in the old Division 1 under future Thailand coach Kiatisuk Senamuang, then slipped into the third tier before mounting their finest run. In 2023/2024 they were imperious, winning the Thai League 3 Bangkok region and then the national Thai League 3 crown with 61 points from 26 games, losing only once all season. That championship sealed promotion and restored the Fire Bulls to the second tier for the first time since 2017.
The current side were until recently captained by Charyl Chappuis, the Swiss-born Thailand international who was part of the Switzerland squad that won the 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup. Up front, Wichaya Pornprasart has been the talisman, finishing as joint top scorer during the 2023/2024 title win with 19 goals and again leading the scoring in 2024/2025. The squad also feature Japanese midfielder Takahiro Tezuka and Philippines international striker Jarvey Gayoso. Bangkok made unwanted global headlines in 2022 when they swiftly sacked Aitsaret Noichaiboon after a Muay Thai-style flying elbow during a match went viral worldwide.
