ARMINIA BIELEFELD - THIRD SHIRT 2025/2026
DSC Arminia Bielefeld were founded in 1905 and are the standard-bearers for football in Bielefeld, in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. Known as Die Arminen and famous for their blue-and-white colours, they play at the SchücoArena, the ground supporters still fondly call the Alm. Arminia have long been German football's great yo-yo club, forever bouncing between the divisions.
The 2025/2026 season, during which this striking third shirt was worn, was a proud return to the second tier after Arminia won the 3. Liga title the previous year. Life back in the 2. Bundesliga proved a battle, and they finished 13th on 39 points from a record of 10 wins, 9 draws and 15 defeats, comfortable enough in the end but rarely free of the fight.
The club arrived on a wave of goodwill. As a third-division side in 2024/2025 they had stormed to the DFB-Pokal final, beating Bayer Leverkusen in the semi before losing to VfB Stuttgart in Berlin. The 2025/2026 cup run brought another famous night, a 1-0 win over Werder Bremen settled by Isaiah Young deep in stoppage time, before a 2-1 extra-time defeat at Union Berlin in the second round.
Leading the line, Joel Grodowski top-scored with 12 league goals, spearheading an Arminia side that spent the season proving they belonged back among the Zweite Liga's established names.
