AC Nagano Parceiro 2019 Away Shirt

AC NAGANO PARCEIRO - AWAY SHIRT 2019

AC Nagano Parceiro are a proud, community-rooted club from Nagano, capital of Nagano Prefecture, first formed in 1990 as Nagano Elza SC. The Parceiro part of the name, adopted in 2007, means "partner" in Portuguese, and the club's orange and dark blue colours are worn with real pride. Home is the modern, football-first Minami Nagano Sports Park Stadium, opened in 2015. A nice quirk: their fiercest rivals are neighbours Matsumoto Yamaga, the two sides contesting the passionate Shinshū derby for bragging rights across the prefecture.

The 2019 season, during which this striking away shirt was worn, was a solid mid-table J3 campaign under new manager Yuji Yokoyama, appointed that February. Nagano Parceiro finished 9th of 18 on 49 points, from 13 wins, 10 draws and 11 defeats, with a tidy goal difference of plus one (35 scored, 34 conceded). Promotion to J2, the club's long-held dream, once again stayed just out of reach.

It was a season of steady graft rather than headline drama. Parceiro reached the second round of the Emperor's Cup, Japan's historic knockout competition, and could always look forward to those Shinshū derby meetings with Matsumoto that light up the Nagano football calendar.

This was a Parceiro side built on the organised, defensive foundations the club has long been known for, roared on by a loyal and steadily growing support in their corner of Minami Nagano. No promotion and no trophy, but another year of honest, community-first football from a club that keeps knocking politely on the door of the second tier.
