AIO MYTILINIS - HOME SHIRT 2025/2026

AIO Mytilinis were founded in 1975 and represent Mytilene, the capital of Lesbos, Greece's third-largest island, which sits in the Aegean just 10 kilometres from the Turkish coast. Formed originally as Aiolikos through the merger of two local sides, the club take their identity from the Aeolians, the ancient Greek people of Lesbos. They play at the Mytilene Municipal Stadium, a 2,850-capacity ground affectionately nicknamed Tarlas.

This understated home shirt belongs to the 2025/2026 season, one of the most significant in the club's recent history. In 2025 the club rebranded from Aiolikos to AIO Mytilinis, honouring their Aeolian roots while setting out bold new international ambitions across football, culture and sport. Rebuilding from the lower reaches of the Greek pyramid, the club set their sights on climbing back towards the third-tier Gamma Ethniki, where as Aiolikos they had been crowned champions in 2022/2023 to earn promotion to Super League 2 after a 37-year wait.

The rebuild is very much a community project, drawing on the pride of an island long overlooked by the mainland. For a club that has spent much of its history bouncing between the regional and national amateur divisions, the ambition to combine local identity with a global outlook makes this a chapter worth following.

Backed by their loyal Islanders support and a renewed sense of purpose, AIO Mytilinis enter this era determined to restore Mytilene's football spirit and write the next stage of a story that began back in 1975.
